It’s the ironic hypocrisy of social justice: becoming “aware” makes you SUPER judgy of everything everyone else says/does than before because suddenly everything is wrong in some way or oppressive or what-have-you. So yeah, some things are problematic and should be addressed, but what happens is that EVERYTHING EVER becomes problematic, and you analyze every corner of everything you experience and it’s exhausting but your newfound sense of self-righteousness keeps you going.
